Butte & Company’s ski and snowboard tune shop offers a full menu of services to get your gear in shape for the winter season! Our tuning experts use the Montana Crystal Glide machinery to provide customers with the highest quality tune available in Crested Butte. Whether your ski or snowboard equipment needs a quick pick-me-up or a full head to toe tuning, Butte & Co can handle the job! Crystal Glide Special (Full Ski or Snowboard Tune) - $50

This tune is a great deal, and an easy way to get those skis or snowboard back into excellent condition! Includes minor ski or snowboard base repair. Bases are ground flat and beveled on the belt, polished on our Crystal Glide stone grinder with a linear crosshatch pattern, edged, and hand hot-waxed. This tune is a great deal for full restoration and an easy way to get those skis back in tip- top shape. Base repairs are within reason: equipment that require extra attention will be billed accordingly – about $5 per core shot. Add $10 for Snowboards. 

Crystal Glide Only (Partial Ski or Snowboard Tune) - $40

It’s a full tune minus the base repair. Have a pair of skis that are not thrashed, but you would like them to ski like new? This is the tune for you!  Add $10 for Snowboards. 

The Grind (Montana Stone Grinding Services) - $40

Includes a belt grind with an edge and wax. Have some minor base repair? Add $5 Add $10 for snowboards.  

Hot Wax $20

Edges are de-burred by hand and temperature-specific fluorocarbon wax is dripped and ironed in to your bases. It will keep your bases stronger and looking younger too! Add$10 for a side-edge grind.

Edge $15

Machine edge with a 1.5 degree bevel, matched with a .5 degree base bevel. Want a different degree side or base bevel? No problem just ask.

Mount $50

Binding mount to your skis along with a torque test to ensure that your bindings are safe and functioning properly. For a re-mount add $5 for plugging holes.

Torque Test $25

A great idea at the beginning of each season! The torque test is a computer simulation of the many different ways your boot ejects from the binding. It will tell you whether or not your binding is safe or needs some minor adjustments to keep you in at a safe pressure level. Fifteen dollars is a lot cheaper than knee surgery.

Storage Wax $10

A great idea at the end of each season. Wax your skis and boards prior to the end of the season to keep your gear in premium condition during the off season.

Stripped Binding Screws $10 each

If your binding screws are stripped we recommend that heli-coils be installed. The cost is $10 for each hole.
